Cnoc Cailean is Gaelic for Colin's Hill, legend has it that Colin - a local gentleman who lived close by -
used to sit on the rock in front of the house and admire the views to sea. Like us today he must have truly enjoyed the magnificent scenery of the West Highland Coast.

Cnoc Cailean has just had an exciting major refurbishment that includes a new kitchen and dining room, sitting room
and conservatory, utility room, boot room and car port, the 'new' Cnoc Cailean is available now.
The ground floor is suitable for wheelchair access and a wet room styled bathroom designed for less able guests makes Cnoc Cailean an
appropriate holiday home for visitor with carers.
Immense detail has gone into the design of the new layout to ensure guests enjoy a user friendly home, not only the wide doorways and reachable light switches but the sliding doors that disappear
into the wall and the fitted kitchen with drawers for easy reach of crockery and equipment.

There is ample parking beside the house and under the car port, guests can leave their car under
cover and enter the house into the coat and boot room.
The new kitchen runs the width of the house with the dining area having windows on two sides to appreciate the view.
From the lounge or conservatory enter a large foyer to the ground floor bedroom complete with wet room styled bathroom.
All doors on the ground floor can accomodate a wheelchair and this floor is disabled friendly.

Known as The James Hawkins Lounge due to original art works on the walls, its an inviting sitting room at the heart of the home, with a
cosy woodbrning stove, comfy sofas, spacious feel and views to die for!
BEDROOMS
The two upstairs bedrooms are spacious, have lots of storage and both have ensuite bathrooms. The Kingsize room
has a bathroom with bath and an electric shower over, there is also a cosy sofa in this room. The double room is equally large, with chairs, an ensuite shower room and dual aspect windows.
The ground floor bedroom has 2 beds, a double and a single with a luxury ensuite bathroom suitable for wheelchair
and disabled access. The walk in huge shower has a seat, rain head and hand held shower head for easy use.
For guests conveinence there is an additional toilet and wash basin at ground level.

Watch the ferry sail to Stornoway or climb the nearby hills, explore the rugged coastline to Rhue lighthouse, go bouldering on the beach,

DIRECTIONS
Cnoc Cailean is 3 miles north of Ullapool; follow the A835 until you reach Ardmair, approximately 20 yards
after the sign turn right into a single track tarmac road. Continue past the first right entrance, Cnoc Cailean is the large white house as you come down the hill.
