Runie Lodge was built as the local school in 1851 and has been refurbished providing a high quality holiday home
with spacious rooms which can comfortably accommodate 5 persons. Original stone features, oak beams, wood burning stoves
and tastefully decorated in Farrow and Ball colours, the lodge is tranquil and the ideal location to relax and unwind.

Runie Lodge from River Kanaird
THE AREA
The old schoolteachers house has its own driveway & private entrance with ample parking.
The garden has cycle storage, is child and dog friendly and there are walks directly from the lodge.
Venture down to the River Kanaird which winds it's way around the lodge, cycle along the track, climb
Ben Mhor Coigach, collect mussels from Dun Canna beach or explore The Postie's Path to Achiltibuie,
all are in stiking distance from Runie Lodge.
COMFY LOUNGE
The emphasis is on comfort and the wood burners provide a warming focal point in the sitting room and kitchen with all the logs provided.
There is plenty to read, a huge collection of DVD's, music and games for evenings or the day you do not want to venture out.
THE KITCHEN
Spacious kitchen and social area with table, chairs and window seat, island unit providing preparation area, fully equipped to a high standard with
range cooker, retro fridge & ice box and dresser. Look out to the garden and river and chat to
the family while preparing the dinner.

BEDROOMS
Upstairs are three bedrooms, a very spacious king size room and bed with down duvet, antique furniture
and a lovely French stove. A twin room with stunning stag wallpaper and river views and a pretty cosy single room, the king and twin rooms also have wash basins.
Chandeliers, elegant lamps, soft duvets and quality bed linen all add to a restful nights sleep.
A cot can be provided for young children.
BATHROOMS
The bathroom has oak flooring, chandelier, a free standing roll top bath and shower with rain head,
included are luxury bath products.

An adventure playground right outside the gate, the area offers all types of outdoor activities, including walking,

The Lodge ideally suits guests who like to be in the countryside surrounded by natural beauty. Runie Lodge is situated 7 miles north of Ullapool; follow the A835 until you reach Strathkanaird, approximately 100 yards after the village sign turn left into a single track road to Blughasary. Runie Lodge is 150 yards along the track and is the first large white house.
