Secluded on a scenic working croft overlooking Ullapool is home to The Highland Bothies, lovingly crafted, beautifully furnished and constructed self-catering micro lodges.
Looking across Lochbroom, you'll see how the bothies were named when you gaze over to An Teallach and Beinn Ghobhlach mountains.
Whichever you choose to stay in, you won’t be disappointed with the quality or the location – they have the ‘wow’ factor! Sleeping up to 4 (maximum 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults) the comfortable and cosy bothies are furnished with touches of highland tartan and muted greens.
You'll find all you need for your holiday, walk into the open plan living and dining area where there is also a sofa bed for the children. Screened by a lovely tartan blind is the comfortable double bed and when you’re hungry there's an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster. Lay in bed and the open doorway frames the rural scenery to perfection.
Each bothy is situated to provide privacy for guests, surrounded by a wild garden of flowers and willows with private areas for outside cooking and seating.
See in the sunrise with a relaxing coffee on the decking, or watch the boats heading out to sea. Facing south the Bothies are a real suntrap - it may be difficult to leave to explore the local area which is a scenic playground of waterfalls and natural adventures. The neighbours on the croft are Casper the Shetland pony and a small herd of sheep, often seen are wild deer that freely roam, look out to for buzzards or a sea eagle.
However you spend your day when you return home you’ll probably be lucky to watch a golden sun sinking over the Summer Isles or even star gazing on clear winter nights.
