Sgarbh - Gaelic for cormorant is a luxurious glamping pod that blends well into the beautiful surrounding landscape. The stunning pod has an elegant landscape theme using colours reflecting the mountains and moors and the glass front gives you an amazing view to Culkein Bay and the Assynt mountains.
Light filled, beautifully decorated with smart stylish accessories and striking features the open plan accommodation is spacious and includes a comfortable living area with sofa, dining table, kitchenette, delux double bed and ensuite shower room.
The pods are fully insulated, you are in control of the central heating, they are warm and there is a constant supply of hot water. The well equipped kitchen is fitted with double hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Lovely touches like the local and acclaimed Highland Stoneware add a sense of splendour.
Sleep in comfort in luxurious Egyptian cotton linen and matching throws and cushions make this a sumptuous space to sleep. For convenience you have under bed storage and a small wardrobe too.
Outside enjoy the barbecue and fire pit, while the decked area is a quiet place to relax, have breakfast and soak up the sun. At the rear of the pod you’ll find a convenient drying place for outdoor clothes and footwear.
The area is absolutely spectacular, Culkein Pods look down to Culkein Beach, a great place to watch for birds, look for a Cormorant and maybe see an otter too.
Take a coastal walk to the point of Stoer, which gives great views of the huge sea stac The Old Man of Stoer. Or visit the white sandy beaches of Clachtoll and Stoer, bring your kayak and explore the glorious rocky coastline. Whatever you do you’ll find Sgarbh a very restful retreat to come home too.
Friends may choose to book both the pods, it’s also great for single folk too. You’ll have your privacy but if needed the owners live locally in the village.
