Another stunning addition to our West Shore Street collection!
Askival is the ‘sister’ cottage to Hallival on the right hand side of the archway and also named after
a mountain, the highest and finest of the majestic Rum Cuillin at 812 metres.
From the cottage the views of the sea and mountains are mesmerising - try to capture with a photograph
or just sit on the bench with a coffee and commit to memory until you come back again, because this
cottage will have you doing just that.
The generous kitchen dining room stretches from the front to the rear of the house and benefits from a
woodburning stove and a lovely old Raeburn, which provides heat and gives a cosy feeling. The top is
useful for cooking but there is an electric hob too. Plan ahead for roasts and casseroles in the oven or
there is a combi microwave / grill / oven for those wanting faster food, but Ullapool is a place not to
hurry.
The cosy sitting room has a view to the loch – actually all the rooms have this view! And if you’re not
looking out there are many pictures of views inside on the walls. With two bedrooms and a bath /shower
room, this very comfortable holiday house is ideal for couples or a family of four. Askival and Hallival
would also suit two families holidaying together, divided by the archway but your own space and
privacy.
Askival is a few minutes’ walk to Ullapool's shops, restaurants and craft shops. A stroll past the
harbour and you can take a boat trip to The Summer Isles looking for dolphins and seals during the
summer. The coast and mountain ranges, provides the outdoor enthusiast with many activities including
sailing, canoeing, hill walking and cycling or wander down the street and just browse the shops.
At the end of your day exploring the West Coast ‘haste ye back to Askival’
to relax.
