Ullapool Holiday Homes was thrilled to be asked to manage Tigh na Reultan which is Gaelic for House of
Stars. This Ullapool holiday cottage is over 140 years old and is a traditional stone built cottage
centrally located in the village and has been a self-catering holiday cottage for a few years.
You will only be minutes away from the seafront and all local amenities and in the winter months you
will see some of the darkest skies, great for star gazing and fantastic for chasing the Northern Lights.
Take a short drive to Ardmair Bay where the lights can be spectacular.
The cottage is a quaint two up two down stone building. On entering the curved staircase leads to the
first floor, to the side of the stairs there is a closet for coats and shoes.
The comfy lounge area has sofas for relaxing and a window looking to Pultney Street, if you visit in
May you will see a beautiful cherry tree laden with pink blossom.
A fully equipped kitchen and dining area is a great space for being together while chatting about your
day while preparing dinner. From the dining area a door leads to a private parking space and small
garden, shed and patio. The shed is a very handy space for storage and drying any wet clothing as it’s
equipped with an electric heater and hanging rail.
Upstairs you have the family bathroom and two bedrooms. The larger room offers accommodation in the
form of a double and single bed, the second bedroom is a double, both have views to the front.
The cottage is very well insulated, please note electricity is not included and is charged via a £1
coin operated meter, this means you only pay for the electricity you use. Although we love dogs this is
a pet free home and may well suit guests who have any pet allergies.
The cottage provides an excellent base for families and couples alike who wish to enjoy the local area
and amenities. If you are a golfer you may appreciate Ullapool’s picturesque course offering spectacular
views, set on the shores of Loch Broom it’s directly on the North Coast 500
Whatever the time of year, and whether you relax or have an adventurous
holiday the cottage will be a peaceful and comfortable break on your West Coast journey.
