Port Á Mhinich

This beautiful self-catering home is all about the remarkable views which extend over the village and the busy port of Ullapool to the spectacular sunsets in the west. Every room has an amazing vantage point to Ullapool, Loch Broom and mountains. Perching above the sea in a peaceful and secluded position and being located down a drive, it is very private and quiet too.

Entering the long hall most of the accommodation is on the ground level. The light airy sitting room is on the right, with large windows taking advantage of the landscape, a comfy corner sofa, armchairs and an open fire for cosy evenings that provides a homely atmosphere make this a very relaxing space. If you can take your eyes away from the view there is a smart TV, sit back, feet up and watch some of your favourites.

A well-equipped modern kitchen with open plan spacious dining area enjoys the same elevated views. Outside the kitchen is a small balcony with steps leading down into the grounds. The outside table and chairs are ideal for breakfast or a morning coffee.

Along the hall a double bedroom has built in cupboards giving ample space for your storage. Next to the bedroom is a spacious tiled shower room. With 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathroom Port á Mhinich ideally suits one or two couples.

Upstairs you’ll find a very large king sized bedroom with ensuite bathroom and sitting area with comfy armchairs, a great place to watch sailing boats or the local skiff team rowing.

Port á Mhinich is only five minutes’ walk from the village and close enough to walk to the local amenities of Ullapool, although you may find it difficult to leave the comfort of your armchair to venture out. A welcome and comfortable retreat waits for you to return after a day walking or sightseeing.

For the comfort of guests who may have allergies we are sorry but we do not accept dogs at this holiday home.
