The Yellow House

Designed for couples or friends this elegant comfortable house with interesting original paintings and artefacts offers self-catering for holidaying in the heart of the Highlands.

The Yellow House is ideally situated in Ullapool; it’s easily identified by the striking colour and grand architecture of the holiday home and the windows are reminiscent of the old fish store buildings along by the harbour with their long narrow windows.

Skylights set in the painted wooden ceiling flood the space with light. The Yellow House is heated by a ground source heat pump which uses the natural energy stored in the earth, for additional warmth there is an attractive red woodburner. A door to the balcony gives views to the hills beyond Loch Broom and steps lead to the courtyard garden with access to car parking.

Handmade wooden kitchen units in soft colours contrast against the deep red walls. When not eating out at nearby restaurants, you will find all you need in the cupboards.

Both bedrooms are on the lower ground floor. The expansive double room opens onto the courtyard and creates a delightful space for relaxing. Meander to the bench outside with book and coffee in your p.j's! Equally charming is the twin room with a view of the colourful garden and tall lupins.

Sumptuous, stylish and spacious sums up the two splendid shower rooms. Situated on each floor with powerful showers you can immerse yourself under after a day exploring the hills.

There is wifi for you to connect to your device but please note there is no TV.
