Runie Lodge was built 1851 as the local school and has been lovingly refurbished providing quality
comfort for you in this luxury holiday home. With spacious rooms, original stone features, oak beams,
wood burning stoves and tastefully decorated in Farrow and Ball colours, the lodge has a timeless
atmosphere and is the ideal location to relax and unwind...
Arrive to some welcome goodies, high ceilings, tall windows and basket of logs. The heart of the home
is the spacious kitchen, sit on the window seat, look to the river and chat with the family while
preparing dinner. Fully equipped to a high standard for creative cooks with range cooker, retro fridge,
island unit, dresser and well equipped with everything you should need.
The emphasis is on comfort and the wood burners provide a warming focal point in the sitting room and
kitchen with all the logs provided. There is plenty to read, a collection of DVD's, music and games
for evenings or the day you do not want to venture out.
Upstairs are three bedrooms, a king size room with antique furniture, the lovely French stove is now
decorative. A twin room with stunning stag wallpaper and river views and a pretty cosy single room. The
king and twin rooms also have wash basins. Chandeliers, elegant lamps, soft duvets and quality bed linen
all add to a restful night’s sleep.
The bathroom has oak flooring, a free standing roll top bath with a shower with rain head over the
bath, included are luxury bath products.
The old schoolteacher’s house has its own driveway & private entrance with ample parking. The
garden is fenced and there are walks directly from the lodge. Venture to the River Kanaird which winds
its way around the lodge, look out for otters, cycle along the track, climb Ben Mhor Coigach, collect
mussels from Dun Canna beach or explore The Postie's Path to Achiltibuie, all are in striking
distance from Runie Lodge.
